About We Heart CNY
We're a source committed to sharing anything and everything that makes our greater CNY community amazing!
Our intention is to be a principal place for Central New Yorkers to come and find the best that CNY has to offer in food, shopping, and recreation. Our posts, pictures, videos, and commentary cover newly opened storefronts & restaurants, some classic establishments your great grandparents loved, local events, happenings, and just about everything else in between.
The content we display will always be CNY-centered. Sometimes, our posts will simply provide just the basic details of a product, place or event to let you know when, where, and how you can get in on it! Yet, at other times, our posts will contain reviews of products, places, and events. These reviews will always be a genuine and truthful reflection of our opinions. We will never provide a positive review in exchange for money. If we don’t like it, we won’t talk about it. Period.
We want to give you, our community, this space. Share with us, talk to us, and let us know what’s going on! If you think we need to know about something happening in CNY, send us the deets. And, if you have any other thoughts about We Heart CNY, give them to us...the good, the bad, and the ugly. We’d love to hear from you!

Who We Are
Amanda & Trav - It’s fair to say that our CNY roots run deep; both of our families have called CNY “home” for generations. Simply put,we are just a couple of '90s kids who live life with the various anthems of that day playing on repeat as our soundtracks. All we wanna do is have some fun, and we got a feeling, that we’re not the only ones.
Cazenovia (42°55’N, 75°51’W). This is where we both grew up and where we currently live today. We’ve always shared a love for CNY, but our appreciation for the area only grew stronger after we left the nest and experienced life in other cities for awhile. Amanda lived the easy life, under the sun in Florida, while Trav was living the fast life, under the glittering lights of NYC. Eventually, we both found our way back home, and together we agree that there is no better place to be (although Amanda would appreciate just a little bit more sun and warmth, please). We don’t go chasing waterfalls anymore, we stick to the rivers and the lakes that we’re used to.
On the outside, Trav and Amanda could not be more different. Our hobbies, interests, and daily lives take us in diverse directions. Amanda is a local elementary school teacher who spends every free moment she gets with her husband and their two german shepherds. She’s a seeker of the simple and pure joys in life whether that means spending time with family and friends, hiking the trails of CNY, finding an unbelievable plate of food, or just getting a good deal somewhere. Trav, on the other hand, is an entrepreneur who just recently opened the newest storefront in Cazenovia, H. Grey Supply Co., with his partner. If you’ve never met Trav, it’s possible that you have met his alter ego, Anita Buffem. Trav has been entertaining the masses, and making people laugh for decades. (But don’t ask either one of us our age).
Although our individual paths lead us to different people, places, and things, our flair for the dramatic side of life is what brought us together at an early age, and our mutual energy and spirit for life is what draws us back together again today. Engaging with people and the community is what we love the most, and that is why we are so happy to be here with all of you today. It’s something unpredictable, but in the end it’s right. We hope you have the time of your life (with us!)!
